J16 – Still Life?
For Prince Cedric! Who wanted to see a still life in the style of the Group of Seven:
I don’t think I got the style at all, but trying was a lot of fun!
One of the compositional elements might be non-traditional, but… well, would YOU want to wake him up and make him move?

Aw~ How cute.
And I agree. I wouldn’t want to wake him up either. XD

How striking! I’m loving the almost-chalk effect here. Did you apply the effect after drawing the picture “normally” or did you draw it straight using a chalk-brush?

Gorgeous, and I love the unexpected dragon!

Thanks, guys!
@KitFang: I mostly used a custom chalk-brush. I can look up the exact settings if you like.
@lilyvale: Heh, adding dragons to still-life drawings has been sort of a tradition since high school art class (much to my teacher’s chagrin). XD

That is so incredibly pretty. ^^ I love the dragon, lol! Kind of an ironic addiction to a ‘still life’. The flowers are gorgeous, and I love the coloring style.

I would love to know the brush settings, but only if it’s not a hassle! ^_~

No trouble. You can see the exact settings here:

(They say a screencap is worth a thousand words.)
That granite pattern might not be one of the default texture choices, but if you choose “Load Textures…” from the palette menu, it should be in Rock Patterns.pat. I hope that helps!

Wow, this looks really great!
I really really like it. I’m glad you enjoyed drawing this, Aja!

Sweet! Thank you! (And you know, I’ve never checked to see what other texture presets are even available within Photoshop! *facepalm* You’ve opened a whole new world!) XD
Now I feel the need play with this new brush…but what to draw? Hmm…
