A Sonnet

Smooth moon-pale skin; a satin ring
Of ribbon wrapt in graceful style
'Round sable hair (like raven wings)
That frames the subtlest hint of a smile;
Creamy cravat 'round slender neck;
Soft cape that falls in perfect folds;
An artlessness in movements deft;
Red eyes reflect the rose he holds.
