23 years later...

Although this place has been pretty quiet for a while, I've been happy to keep it open for the few people who still enjoy it. I'll take quality over quantity, and you guys are the best. 💖️

Unfortunately, the forum has increasingly become a source of problems, with random bots eating up huge amounts of bandwidth.

Nowadays I think it's asking a lot for someone to sign up to a forum like this (entering their email, creating yet another account to manage) just to comment on one story. So I've been looking for more reader-friendly options for quite a while.

Now that there seems to be a decent alternative (see below)...

I'll be closing the forum by the end of October, at the latest.

So that you still have a place to talk, I've set up an all-members Patreon Chat (which I hear is similar to Discord).

Some of you are already Patrons (♥!!!), so I hope it's an easy transition. You can also DM me there!

For everyone else, please consider becoming a free member so that you can join the chat. I'd love to see you there whenever you want to say hi!

(I know it can be a hassle to sign up for A Whole New Thing, but on the bright side a free Patreon account lets you follow many fine creators.)

I apologize for the short notice. Although I'll try to keep the forum open for the rest of this month, I'll close it sooner if there are any further issues.

I may not have been a frequent poster here, outside of my stints at being a patissier during the time of year When The Stars Are Right, but I'll miss this place all the same. There's just something about the humble message board that other methods of communication lack. Like, it'll be somewhat odd to do this elsewhere...

**Pours a bottle of Mako Tea out on the curb in tribute to the forum...or tries to, rather. The bottle remains resolutely right-side up, and full**

Ah, haha. My wrist, ah, won't seem to rotate to pour the bottle out.

**Shadow grabs his wrist with his other hand, attempting to forcefully tip the bottle over. The effort appears to be entirely in vain, as the struggle fails to spill even a single drop**

...Well, you know what I was going for here.

**Suddenly, a frosting covered tendril shoots out from nowhere, snatching the bottle out of Shadow's hands. The 4 year-old birthday cake it is attached to bows its many layers as a sign of respect as it silently pours the bottle out onto the ground**
