It's been awhile since I posted anything, and this section seems a little dead.

Bowser's True Love : Princess Peach.. That is, until Mario steals her from him.
I do like the way this came out, the puffy shoulders kept driving me insane. Tried a couple different things with shading on this one. |

That turned out pretty cool!
Your shading and highlights are looking better, and you did a nice job on the hand. (That gesture is trickier to draw than it looks.) _________________ "The one concession a sane man will never yield the universe is that of considering it seriously."

Thank you! It took me nine hours to do that. I still need to learn how to blend the shading and lights into the colors so it's more natural. I need a good tutorial on that.
And you are so right about that thumbs up. Such a simple looking pose, not so simple to implement. It took many, many, attempts at it to get it to what it is. |

One of my goals for 2014 is to learn to digitally paint. My first attempt at it is with Jack Frost from Rise of the Guardians.
Comments/critiques/suggestions are very welcome.

Not bad. The symmetry needs a bit of work, but the shading and highlights are nothing to be ashamed of. Your eyes seem a little high. I assume you aimed to put the eyes in the middle of the head and didn't take into account the fact that the top of the head's a little lower than the top of the hair. I like the dimensionality of the nose. _________________ http://alienlife.thecomicseries.com/

I did not notice the eyes thing.. I think that may be more because I scrapped his original hair, completely. And redrew it, but never took into consideration that his eyes were already done.
I also like his nose. That is my favorite part of the piece. |

The Might Thor - drawn on my ipad... I really like the energy of this piece.

I agree with you on the energy.
Critiques:
The body is far too small to be Thor. If what you're going for is a cartoonish, chibiish picture of Thor, then you need to make smoother, curved lines rather than the jagged ones, simplify the face, and make the eyes bigger. Whether or not your goal is chibiism, his left (our right) forearm should be bigger, and his right biceps needs to be longer than his shoulder muscle. Also, I noticed his left leg is much bigger than his right one. You'll have to fix that. _________________ http://alienlife.thecomicseries.com/
