Yeah, I doubt it'd be the first time somebody was found unconscious in the library.
Sure, may be the first time they were found beaten unconscious, but such things happen on occasion.

According to the dictionary plug-in I've got in Chrome, sometimes it means "A steep cliff, bank, or promontory."
I don't know how that's going to help her here. Well, unless she needs some place to dump a body.
