Did I read that correctly? Is Sir Richard the "naive lunk" that got thrown down there with her? He does seem like the type to try to defend a maiden's honor. (Which is NOT what I expected of him. Kudos for keeping us on our toes!) Cheese!

If so, I gotta ask... What was HIS job before he got thrown in the Pit? (I really want to think he was the customer that Alera pinched, who tried to stand up for her regardless--but I doubt the Dusk to Dusk is the sort of establishment who would enslave even the worst of customers.)

A man with nice hair, and is an expert chiropractor? (I think that's how it's spelled, Devy feels a bit too lazy to look it up today.) I think Richard the Bard is a jack of all trades. Knowing useful knowledge of the world, and how to look good doing it. Bravo. I've always a soft spot for bards myself. Perhaps if it doesn't work out he can always specialize in seeing folks with back problems?

I do wish that the guy with the elegant mustache had less luxurious bangs.
I need to know if he's raising both eyebrows in mild surprise, or just the one that we can see.
