*squeals in delight* STUN BATON!!!! Less Than Three

(You gotta love a weapon with a built-in anti-theft device. ^_~ )

Oh Kiku, I love you. (I wonder though how good his act would be if he knew what Joe just discovered about the stick hovering mere inches from his face.)

Indeed, he might not want to be quite so up in that guard's business. Or maybe he still would. A self-preservation instinct isn't really one of Kiku's defining traits.

And that's cool, T. Cheese! Actually I'm tickled that you consider TM a source of drawing ideas.

Especially since I'm still looking to "borrow" more of 'em from your work. *eyeshift*

Well of course T can't learn anything from most comics. T's amazing. But the question is, how did Aja get to be amazing so suddenly? The original True Magic wasn't that great, and the new ones one of the best things on the entire internet. Aja, did you sell your soul to somebody?

T: Yes. It does.

Aja: But if you're borrowing from him, and he's borrowing from you...MY GOD. You're in a positive feedback loop! In three years you'll be the best there is! IN TWENTY YOU WILL HAVE DESTROYED THE UNIVERSE!

Brady: I think the above explains everything, really.

Oh man...
We have to wait 20 years for that?

So the Mayans fudged their calculations? Considering the tools they had this must be within the acceptable margin of error.

XD

Have patience. We're webcomic artists -- we always work more slowly than expected.

It's great to hear that you think the new version is so much better, Brady. Cheese! I am encouraged!

And I totally have to thank one of the commenters on GSC (Shazzbaa, I think?) for recommending the book "STORY" by Robert McKee. Seriously, reading that was like taking a clue-by-four upside the head every other page. It really helped me define exactly WHY so many parts of the comic were bugging me, what elements I was missing, and how I could do 'em right.

I've gained a lot from other art- and writing-related books in the last couple years, but that one is pretty much what decided me in favor of rebooting instead of quitting. (It's only worth starting over if it will be different enough, right?)

I RMK. Less Than Three

P.S. Alternately, if you were just talking about the art style, then instead allow me to pimp "Dynamic Figure Drawing" by Burne Hogarth. He is like the Robert McKee of drawing. (Or is Robert McKee the Burne Hogarth of storytelling?) <3

Am I a bad person because I don't read the comic?

I just look at the pictures every week and try to steal drawing techniques. Is that bad? I think it might be bad.

Holy Crap! There's a comic that goes along with this forum? Embarrassed

This forum is not about learning about True Magic? I'm a little disappointed that I will never learn to fully harness my abilities of lightening..

Has it ever occurred to Henson and the other humans that they could just wait until morning to get into the city?

You're expecting logic from a rag-tag group of adventurers from a poor village oppressed by the local theocracy?
How many fantasy novels have you read?
