At least, I hope he's smart and not just lazy. Too many fantasy stories rely on the villians hiring utter incompetents.

It makes me wonder how they're advertising the job. Evil Inc.'s Human Resources department should really look into such things.

At the very least he appears to have somewhat faith in his companion.

And he's got a baton. Those things are awesome.

And painful. *got to see a real one up close once* I would NOT want to be hit with one of those things. *_*;;

Oh, oh! Please, please tell me that is some form of stun baton!! (a la FF7 Reno) Less Than Three

I have an unhealthy love for panel 6. >_> It's probably best I don't say more than that.

I think we all know where this is going.

He's going to ask Kiku out on a date.

Admittedly, Kiku did just throw himself into his arms. Well, onto one arm. Cheese!

(Welcome, Caldur!) :D

Sadly, no.
Smart (or apathetic, jury is still out) Guard is actually an aspiring proctologist.

So, Kiku will be asked to join him in a dimly lit chamber later this evening, but it's going to go swiftly downhill from that point.

...I'm a terrible person, aren't I?

Wow. Wooooooow. Haha, good God, I think that is the worst possible alternative ending for this comic! Lawlz, I can't stop laughing. Seriously, with the last panel in mind? God! Unbelievable!

Seconding the zappy-Reno-rod suggestion. (Ah, Reno, you were so awesome in Advent Children... Je T'adore )

That thing is gonna hurt no matter how it's used. *winces*
