Happy birthday, Aja! And Shadowstorm, that's one heck of a story. I would have just built a sea-boiling ray, a sky-falling ray, and a days-ending ray, or else bought a cake.

I will be happy to eat a slice of Bill and Ted's cake... After someone else eats one, and if they turn out OK.

Thank you for the birthday wishes, guys!

And wow, Shadow, you really went above (the spirit of the law) and beyond (the horizons of history) to procure that cake!

Somehow these paper plates and plastic forks don't seem quite adequate for such a hard-won prize...

*gets out the fancy china and silver cutlery*

*puts on some classy violin music*

There we go. Cheers, friends!

*serves a slice of cake for everyone present*

*tries a bite*

Oooh! ♥

Nothing to worry about, Brady. It seems perfectly safe... and the flavor is excellent.

*air guitar*

MOST EXCELLENT.

*in the background, the classical music somehow changes to '80s metal*

Hmm? That's funny. Suddenly I've got the urge to--

*air guitar*

Yeah, I--

*air guitar*

--can't seem to stop--

*air guitar*

...Oh well. I'm sure it'll wear off.

*air guitar*

Mmm... cake.

Monocle *Sidles in through a side door, taking sidelong glances at the assembled revelers* Monocle

Egads! It appears that I have arrived after the intended date!

Eureka! I'm going to borrow that time machine and travel back in time to reappear on the 16th! Eureka!

Music *Closes eyes and hums the Dr. Who theme song* Music

And now that THAT's taken care of... I wonder how this cake might interact with a shot or two of my vintage Mako tea?

*Pulls out a hip flask, and pours a generous amount of glowing green liquid into a fancy china teacup*

And thus I hereby raise a most righteous Birthday toast to Aja!

Bounce May this birthday mark the beginning of a truly excellent year! Bounce

Hmmm... I don't see any signs of ill effects. And Aja's so happy with it that she's air guitarring! Not something I'd ever do, under any circumstances, but whatever floats her stoat...

*Takes a bite*

*AIR GUITAR!!!*

That strikes me as needlessly complicated. I mean, three doomsday devices? You could easily do all that with one. Plus, having your birthday on the same day as the Apocalypse? That's almost as bad as having your birthday on Christmas. Then I'd probably have to build even more devices to cancel out the effects, because I don't think a barren wasteland is a very good birthday present. And then I'd probably arrested for violating the restraining order. No, the time machine was obviously the better choice.

Only if the place to pick up the cakes is over 100 yards away from where they baked it. Y'know, it sounds like you WANT me to go to prison.

And hey, welcome to the party, rarely seen co-author!

...Wait, Mako Tea? I thought only me, Aja, and a few others here drank that...oh well, mystery for later. Now is cake time!

**Takes a bite of the EXCELLENT cake**

Whoa! Those dudes know how to make an awesome cake.

Is that tea made out of real mako sharks?

Happy Birthday Aja!

*carefully sidles in front of the calendar blocking it from view*

I brought cake. Cheese!

Birthday? Is it my birthday again already?

*glances in the direction of the calendar, but sees only Tulsileaf... and cake*

I guess it must be. Cheese! Thank you, Tulsi!

(Nice to see you again, good sir!)

A pleasure to see you again, Madam Aja. I am glad to see the site is still kicking, the database remains unlost, and the comic continues to get updates. It is one of my favorites and I read it at least once a year. (I have taken to reading multiple pages in batches.)

May you be blessed by Lord Octopod's glorious tentacle!

How nice! It always makes my day to hear that someone has reread the comic. I'm glad that you're continuing to enjoy the story. Grin

*waves arms in the Octopodian secret salute*

Blessings of His glorious tentacle upon you as well!
