...And Happy New Year!

Santa Santa Santa

How are your holidays going? Did you give or receive any particularly neat presents? Cheese!

I was given a Wacom TABLET!!! I'm so happy! I love it almost as much as the squishy pillow my grandparents gave me!! (which looks like a deflated bolster cushion and it is the skooshiest thing EVAR). Less Than Three
I also managed to surprise and amuse my dad (two of the hardest things to do around here) by composing and recording an X-wing Carol onto a CD for him. XD
It's a good holiday. Hope you're having a good one too!

I had a great quiet Christmas. I got lots of vouchers for places (I'm apparently hard to buy for, who knew?), a Wil Anderson book (funny!) and I spent my entire budget for the night on.... *drumroll*

An X-Box 360 and Dragon Age! Cheese!

Between glazed ham, candy canes and video games, it a wonder I'm still alive.

Ooh, tablets. Bounce That is awesome.

This year, I got fan art! :D And my roomie gave me a little toy lion to sit next to the duck on my monitor. They're about the same size, and seem to be getting along well. <3

Yes, I agree that tablets may be among the best inventions ever. Here's what I've been doing with mine and the included Photoshop:

That dragon looks pretty cool, Amarath! What program are you using, and how did you do that? It looks 3D! Is it 3D?

I was using a program that I also got for christmas too. It's called Autodesk SketchBook Pro 2010.
I just colored in the base color and shaded the dragon.
I'm glad you like it, Zela. Smile

Edit: I've also made some fanart for Aja, but I can't get the eyes to look right, and the nose doesn't look like it's there. Maybe I'm just not good at drawing humans...

*bounces* I got the latest Darwin Awards book with my voucher! *squeals with joy*

I was going to get Unseen Academicals, but they only had the hardcover and it's selling for $60... *whine*

My parents surprised me with a Tablet PC for Christmas. Shocked This is what I scribbled while experimenting:
