...A baked potato strait from the oven that has been removed of its innards (with a fork), seasoned with butter & salt, put back into it's skin, & eaten with the fork used to remove the innards. Neener Neener

Mashed and loaded.
Chop and boil the potato (leave the skin on)
Mix with large amounts of sour cream and butter (salt and pepper to taste) and mash just enough to leave some small chunks.
Top with shredded cheese, crispy bacon bits
Toss it under the broiler to get the cheese nice and melty, then add some finely chopped green onions.

That there is the potato the gods themselves would eat. If the gods ate potatoes.

A baked potato with the innards removed, mixed with cheese and butter, cooked slowly in the oven and then topped with bolognaise sauce and parmesan cheese.

I know what you mean... I have to wait until Friday until I get the chance to make real food. I hate having a [highly unsatisfactory] kitchen that doesn't work...

Aww. Well, in the meantime, there are always french fries. They're like potatoes... but with the added benefit of stick-like qualities!

P.S. Oi. Watch the language, young lady. Wink

See, what type of cheese would you suggest? I'm going to try that recipe.

Norwegian dumplings are highly potato-based. I don't know the recipe. Lefse is also highly potato-based. I do vaguely know the recipe, but it's a secret.
My favorite potatoes, I suppose, are sliced thickish-thin and fried with a lot of oil. It's a tough choice because most kinds of potatoes are amazing.

Pretty much any kind of cheese you like.
I tend to get the bags of shredded colby/jack, or the mexican mix of shredded cheese.

Basically, whatever kind of cheese you would toss on a baked potato should work.

If you're planning on feeding a small army, here's a recipe.
It starts with 5 pounds of potatoes and a half pound of bacon and goes from there.
