A large cast iron pot often used in campfire cooking?
Yes, yes it is.

Would a regular pot do?

I'd imagine any pot big enough to hold your potatoes and a sufficient amount of water to boil them in would do the job. That's just the first recipe I came across.

Personally, I think it's a bit light on the bacon. But that's just me. I mean, mashed potatoes aren't an exact science.

*facepalm* Sorry Aja. I'm not normally crude, I just haven't eaten a real meal in days and I had nigh-on a litre of blood taken from me that day. I was not a happy kender.

Baked potato, with sour cream, and butter. I'm old fashioned. And prefer my potato's not to kill me. With all that cheese, and bacon. Confused

Chives are optional, of course... However, make sure you thoroughly wash them... You don't want to get sick from eating bad chives.

You've already got butter and sour cream on your potato Young, a little bit of cheese and/or bacon isn't going to kill you.

That's like going to a carnival and riding the giant triple loop coaster, then begging out of the merry-go-round because it might make you sick.

I wouldn't eat bacon, as I don't eat meat.

Cheese, wouldn't be so bad.. I do love me some cheese. In fact I love almost all dairy products. I can't stand yogurt though. It's the only one I won't touch. Stuff is just plain nasty.

What kind of yogurt are you talking about? If it's the unsweetened kind, then I agree with you, but if not, I disagree.
