I prefer sabers. Oh, and when I was in the SCA I had a bastard sword as big as I am. That was FUN.

Saber, eh?
I'd make some comment about sabreurs being dumb, but all the ones in my club inform me that people who accidentally get their hands superglued to their blades aren't allowed to talk. |

They kill mosquitos that like to feast on me.
Also, there webs are awesome.

You know what else kills mosquitos?
Minnows and other tiny fish. They devour mosquito larva by the millions.
That's right, a spider may eventually eat a mosquito, but a minnow will kill the mosquito before it even has a chance to bite you.
The best part about Minnows? They stay in the pond where you put them, and don't have eight creepy legs or a half dozen eyes or poisoned fangs.

I'll agree that spider webs are actually kind of cool. It's just that so many of them have spiders in them. *shudder*

It's not as interesting as it sounds, sadly.
I was at practice when I noticed that the wires were starting to pop out of one of our epees. Because the blade still worked and I didn't want to completely rewire it, I decided to add a bit of glue to make a temporary fix. Now the thing about gluing wires is that you have to keep the blade bent. I don't have a rewiring rig, so I had to do it the old fashioned way and bend it between my hands.
This wasn't too bad, until I discovered the funnel on the superglue had been glued shut. Rather than give up and buy more, I decided it's a good idea to unscrew the funnel and pour the quick-drying superglue directly out of the bottle.
You guys can probably figure out what happened next.  At least the weapon still worked, once I finally pried my hand off. |
