*hums the tune to that song, in lieu of bothering to remember the actual lyrics*

Methinks that bandit should count himself lucky that Kiku got to him first. Cheese! He was about to learn why one never brings a knife to a gun-fight.

Indeed. (But the alternative would have been much less wounding to his pride.) Cheese!

A wise man knows that if you have to take a severe wound, it's best to take it to your pride. It grows back, and tends to heal faster then a bullet hole.

Wounds to the pride have two major advantages:

1. The fool lives to get his pride damaged another day.
2. Gaping wounds in one's pride tend to hurt more than gaping wounds in one's chest.

They also have a third advantage:
You can still wound the victim physically after you wound their pride.
Might be difficult to do it the other way around.

It can be done the other way around, but it requires finesse and certain... sadistic tendancies. And often quite expensive specialised equipment.

(Good lord, I sounded like Kolya of the Genii for a second there. Yikes.)

I've also noticed that humiliating someone tends to make them a lot more hissy than just smacking them down. If you punch them out, they can at least say they went down in a 'fair' fight. If you just outright humiliate them, there's not all that much they can do to reclaim their dignity.

Is it just me or does Kiku have an odd and disturbing fascination with poking people's wounds? I mean I don't usually walk up to someone, notice that they are wounded, and give it a poke to see how badly it hurts them. That's just creepy, (although apparently very effective Wink )

*shudders*

Yeeeah, I guess even Kiku 2.0 isn't 100% socially adjusted. Cheese!

At least this time the pokee is an enemy. Nudge Nudge
