I have to say, MMA would be a lot more entertaining to watch if they armed the audience with flame throwers first.

In retrospect, I'm having a hard time coming up with any spectator sport that wouldn't be made vastly more enjoyable with a flame thrower equipped audience.

Tennis? Hells yeah that'd be better.
Baseball? Not only is it more entertaining, now you can roast your own hotdogs in a quarter second.
Football? yup, vastly improved. No more watching you pass the ball around for half an hour before you even attempt a goal. You move, or you burn.
American Football? Well, if you don't mind the return fire from the players...
Rythmic Gymnastics? Sure, it's impressive watching you flip and cartwheel, but it's so much better when you're flipping over a burning stream of chemistry powered death.

Ice hockey... Okay, maybe one spectator sport that isn't improved.

*laughs*

Basketball? A little extra incentive not to foul.
Golf? For such a subdued, contemplative sport, flamethrowers might not be appropriate. Maybe just pocket lighters and cans of hairspray.

That and NASCAR. Shocked

Nobody watches NASCAR for the racing. They watch it in the hopes of seeing a horrific crash.
Give all the drunken rednecks in the stands flamethrowers (or let them bring their own from home) and the likelihood of such a crash skyrockets.

Please. Hockey would be far superior with flames. Actually, anything would make hockey better. I think soccer's official slogan should be "At least it's not identical to hockey".

Ice Hockey would be superior with flamethrowers, certainly.

REAL Hockey needs no improvement. *huff*

All I'm saying is that you can't keep the ice frozen in the presence of flame throwers.
Without the ice, you've got a bunch of 250-300 pound dudes trying to run around on ice skates.
Unless you enjoy the sound of ankles snapping, it's not going to be fun to watch.

Ice Hockey is a perversion of the real sport. Besides, take the ice away and all you have is walls of meat beating each other up, i.e. Boxing.

Hey man, boxing can be fun.
Dodgeball with fire, though, that'd be a massive improvement. (does dodgeball count as a sport?)
Archery with fire. Unless it's flaming arrows, maybe not.
