Hmm...I get the feeling those schoolboys aren't supposed to be in that tavern... Underage? Past curfew?

Or maybe they have some long standing feud with the guards of the city! :O

In any case, the thing that worries me the most here is that we haven't seen Kiku in a few pages.....and as Bob and Kit appeared to have been ignoring him...there is no telling what mischief he's up to now. He's out of cocoa and probably buzzed with sugar (and to a lesser extent, caffeine)! D8 Run for your lives!

:3

(Also, "Jen...I--" is not a very good way to start a manly joke, Henson.)

Kiku's just busy with certain green-haired bishonen off-page. Totally. Rii says so, and he's watching.
To make sure they don't get into trouble, of course. Nudge Nudge

#112 should clarify what Kiku's up to.

Sort of. Maybe. Nudge Nudge

Oh dear, and last we saw of him he was kinda falling over, wasn't he?

Speaking of #112, I can't look at that last panel without giggling. Stupid alt text!

*snickergiggle* Oh Kiku, you'd fit in so well with my crazy caffiene-fuelled friends.

Poor, poor green-haired man. He finally corners one of the sane ones and WHAMMO!

He had it coming. Stupid, stupid green haired man should know better then to try holding a conversation with his back to a door when he's easily within kicking distance of said door.

Never know who's going to be trying to come in. Might be a hungry customer who doesn't feel like being polite, or an angry guard who doesn't feel like being polite. All manner of not polite people might want to come in through that door.

D8 Under the table?! Good gravy, man--he needs to learn how to handle his chocolate better!
And also, he needs to learn about the generally disgusting sticky grossness of restaurant/bar floors.
...then again, maybe he's learning about that right now. ::shudders:: eeeeew...

Rii! Couldn't you help keep them off the floor, at least?! Oh, the humanity!

Don't worry, Henson! Our resident guard/comedian is here now!

C: "Alright, scumbags! It's time for some Corporal punishment! HAW!"
P: "...you know, that one only works if they know your rank."
C: "Would you just shut up?" B[

Lol, see. It's true. And since there doesn't appear to be any latch on that handle, all manner of impolite animals could bust in there too! It is clearly just not a safe place to stand.

I hope I'm not the only longtime reader to get several good snickers out of the use of "life-changing" in the 6th panel. I wonder if that was intentional? (Though I suppose that vagueness is as far as we can go in discussing the matter safely, eh? Phooey.)

Green haired man (is that what we're calling him now?) reads like a spammer to me. I imagine this exhange if the guard did not burst in at that moment.

GHM Pardon me, but it's urgent that I speak with you. You see, I--
HEN Sorry, sir, but I can't stay.
GHM Yes, yes. I'm sure you're on important business but this is a matter of the utmost, life-changing gravity! If I could have a brief moment...
HEN I guess I have just a second.
GHM Wonderful! You see, I am the accountant of the late Queen Silvador, Ruler of Hextoria. At the time of her death she commanded an immense fortune of 10 billion scruppence. To prevent it from falling into the hands of her treacherous allies, wayward offspring or malevolent foes, some courtiers chose to move her riches out of the country. I had volunteered to search distant lands for a brave man, such as yourself, to assist in this operation. For your efforts, you will be awarded 10% of the total. If you should agree, please state so now that we may begin.
HEN Thinking: We could use the money.
HEN Sure!
GHM An excellent choice! If you may lend me 5000 for supplies and we can be on our way...

LOL, Tulsi. It's fortuitous that he got interrupted then. Wouldn't want the Proto-Gentry to be scammed out of its membership dues!

I suppose we could call him "the verdet"? (Verdette looks better but that might be implying that he was actually a woman--and we can't have that, now can we?)
