YAY! Oh, how I giggled on this page--especially with that alt text. XD I even made a housemate come over and see it while I flailed and laughed and waved my arms about, explaining stuff. They told me to go to bed. But not before laughing themselves! Ha! Victory!
I'm so excited for the start of the cameos, I can't even express it in words.
Also, Rii is lovely!
I...I know there's more I wanted to say, but it is 9am afterall...and there may be some wisdom in my housemate's advice. |

Woo, victory!
And thanks! I'm excited about the cameos, too. It's always a treat to draw new characters (and to find fun ways to sneak them into the plot).
Rii is lovely. I just hope I didn't make him look too girly. XD
There's such a fine line between "slightly more feminine than the regular TM dudes" and "completely indistinguishable from a woman."
...9AM bedtime, you say? Now that's my kind of schedule. _________________ "The one concession a sane man will never yield the universe is that of considering it seriously."

Pffft
You know, I had wondered about "Miss" Rii's lack of bosom...and the overtly femme clothing choices... Oh, how we suffer from not being able to *hear* these comics! (Though obviously, being able to hear did not help most of our heroes in this situation.)
It is indeed a fine line to walk--but no matter what you consider the outcome, I love looking at his face! Mmmm...eyes....
Kiku has been really delicious these past two pages. :3
No, Jen--you might succeed with the others...but Henson will NOT make a good woman.
(My sleep schedule has been getting progressively more wonked as the weeks go by. I really need to get it whipped back into something more reasonable and functional.) |

Well, in the old days Henson would have made a wonderful woman. _________________ http://alienlife.thecomicseries.com/

Oh I get it. A joke. Very funny. Ha ha ha. Next you'll be telling me Kiku isn't butch.

Funny thing about that... I thought Kiku might have been a girl.

Don't stare at me like that, he has a really girly name. _________________ It doesn't matter what skin color you are, all humans have the same guts and blood on the inside. Unless there's something wrong with your liver or something like that. You all taste horrible, too. |

Um... let's just say that a panel or two of Bob in a Southern Belle-style dress would result in
a.) cola all over my monitor
b.) hysterical laughter
c.) headtilting
and
d.) linkage to a friend who loves a man in a dress. _________________ Gryphons are better than dragons. Gryphons PURR. |

My eyes totally read that as fernslash. Many things ran through my head as I tried to figure out what on earth that could possibly be... Then I squinted and leaned forward. And facepalm'd. >__>; heh...
Wait... wait.... Wait.
Kiku as butch? That implies a certain dominance!
I approve.

Funny you should mention that. Way back when I first started the comic (with nooo idea where the story was going), I had "Kiku is a girl" reserved as a potential plot twist. Thus the more-modest-than-necessary foam placement on the old Page 20, in the scene where he's having a bubble bath.
I think it was the page after that where I finally realized what a silly idea that was. XD Kiku is way more fun to write as a dude.
...And yeah, poor Bob. His INT is good, but he still fails his WIS checks occasionally. _________________ "The one concession a sane man will never yield the universe is that of considering it seriously."
