I loved that song when I was a kid. The Rick Roll song. I would try to make my voice as deep as possible and sing my little heart out in the shower.
I'm getting a little misty right now.
He was just... He was never gonna give her up, you guys. And he would Never gonna let her down. ..
...He would never gonna do that. _________________ A Near Myth |

I still love that song. Never gonna give you up, never gonna let you down, never gonna turn around, and hurt you!
...So yeah, I'm hopeless. _________________ Gryphons are better than dragons. Gryphons PURR. |

... I too like that song. If it's sincere.
Once we (204 Music Composition Class) rickrolled our audience. It was awesome. The students on the ends of the line were groovin' but I can't groove so I just stood like a good little chorister. _________________ The rain, it raineth every day

It actually has a pretty strong nostalgic element to it for me.
I was in New York staying the night with my brother (from another mother). He lived in a project high rise and they didn't have a television. We weren't allowed to go outside and play either because it was too dangerous. We just sat in his room and drew pictures on this huge stack of newspaper print. That night we sat on his bed and listened to the radio which got really bad reception. I was feeling pretty disconnected and a little claustrophobic when we turned the dial to some station and this song came blaring through. "I love this song" I said, which wasn't necessarily true but it was like being stranded, starving on a dessert island and spotting a bologna sandwich even though you hate bologna. It's been one of my classic favorites ever since. _________________ A Near Myth |

I'm clicking on this link.
I just want you to know that if I get RickRoll'd I'll threaten to hunt you down and do terrible terrible things to you.
It's an idle threat though. I have neither the drive or the financial means to do so. _________________
