A fun fact, heroes tend to be pro-death penalty. If you're evil, you'll spend your life in extravagent hedonism until you're caught. Then you'll simply die. If you're a hero, you'll spend most of your time moping in a tavern chasing after busty barmaids. And when you go off on your difficult adventure, fighting the good fight, thick and thin, sticking it to the man, overcoming insurmountable odds you'll get caught like everyone else. Then you'll spend the better part of the century (heroes are always young and dashing, unless its for revenge, in which case the bad guy isn't evil, just stupid) ... as I was saying, you'll spend the better part of the century in a torture cell. Not a fun life.

There she goes again. It is true though, they have some of the most incredible luck you've ever seen. And I'm glad we didn't end up with a full scale unplanned road block for the evening. Rush hour traffic is bad enough without not being able to move.

Why can't Xaio steal Lucideious from the high priest? He seems shiny enough.
...Wait... he might have something that can guard against kender, namely a shiny object.

Well, that rather depends upon me actually meeting the High Priest, and I've not managed that yet. I've been following Gauth around, trying to borrow him.
