In which the postman is presented with a puppy. (Suggested by Tadanori Oyama!)
This round will continue until May, or thereabouts.

Despite the smile, Mr. Mailman was not pleased with the offering the peasants sent. _________________ Something seriously cracked out this way comes... |

Can I keep him?
Or this one also came to mind,
It's a stick honest. |

In hindsight, Rex should have been on his guard but he had assumed that his mother's warnings had been metaphorical. |

No, we'll have to throw him back. He's much too small for a dinner for two.

The puppy was immediately apprehended when he realized he did not know what to do with the postman once he caught him. |

OK, I'm going to post a couple of entries tonight no matter HOW crummy they are, because I've been meaning to think of some since the contest started and a whole 'nother month has gone by and darn it, I'm going to do this.
So there.
(No, that wasn't an entry. I'm still thinking.) Let's see...
1) Formerly the bane of the postman's existence, the village dogs now became a handy source of revenue -- thanks to Thunder's new "dog ransom" scheme.
2) As luck would have it, the puppy's first attempt to lift his leg resulted in the "tree" taking offense.
3) Thunder's new plan worked like a charm: All formerly aggressive dogs fled at the sight of what appeared to be a canivorous* horse.
* That's "cani" for canine -- not "carni" (for meat) with a Bostonian accent. _________________ Nam et ipsa scientia potestas est. |

Haha, a tough choice as usual. And yet we have a winner!
