IT IS OUR WAY.

Let me regale you with the inconvenient narrative pacing of my people. Music

As infuriating as it may be sometimes, I wouldn't have it any other way.

Hmm, Sarge seems grumpier than usual...

A little bit paler, too. I warned you about rolling around in sand lobster sand, man.

Sand lobster sand: Guaranteed to get you that corpselike complexion you've always wanted!

Well, nuts. I liked Lockwood and his science-minded wife. Though I was just going to post a fan theory that Phidega was being developed to be captain of the guard after the sand lobster takes out Lockwood.

Whoawhoawhoa, WAIT.

In comic 78, Andir wrote:

So it's true that sand lobsters don't usually attack nobles. Why, then, did this one take Lockwood? Was it afraid of its secrets being revealed? How intelligent are these things?

Okay, further questions: How do sand lobsters tell the difference between nobles and non-nobles? Does that mean they could have some connection to Lucideus and the noble situation in the first place? And what might that imply about their goals?

In other news, page 1 has been changed. The old one was funny, but the new is as well, and doesn't feel so wrong to laugh at, so that's fair.

Heh. They should make that guy's face into a meme.

I'm pretty sure that this lobster didn't take him, actually. The face shown in Lockwood's armor appears to actually be that of the corpse possessed on page 437; the lobster's even in the same spot. I think it just knocked him out and stole his clothing. The reason it didn't talk much was so it wouldn't give away the fact that it wasn't Lockwood in the suit.

Hence "Lockwood" being taller. That makes sense.

Sorry for numerous posts in a row, but I have another question for speculation.

Why don't sand lobsters go after nobles? Is there something physically different about them? Could it be that lobster quills don't work on nobles for some reason?
