The Chew Toy of Dark Meridian
So this is Indra, the main character of That Other Story that I started in 1999. He’s a humble city guardsman who is knocked over and/or punched by three completely unrelated characters in the first chapter — and his life doesn’t exactly improve after that.
I’d like to say that I’m reworking the story because I’m enamored of the plot, but really I just like writing this guy into inconvenient situations. ♥

and if things only get worse after that need to see the rest of the story too.

Well, there’s the short MST of the first draft — although that version features less punching, and the falling over is mostly self-inflicted.
