The Angels
For Drake! This is the elite adventuring party known as The Angels (like a medieval counterpart to the modern Charlie’s Angels):
From left to right, we have: Ria (the Raven, dark and deadly), Bethany (the Wren, protective and caring) and Max (the Magpie, enamored of all things shiny).
I tried several new things with this one (defining the light and dark areas in grayscale before adding color, for example), and I think I like the results.
P.S. Finally, there’s something prettier than Don von Sourpuss at the top of this blog.

Max is so cute~ I love the strong blues and shading on her face. It’s soft and has a three-dimensional feel. You just want to rub her cheeks.

Oh my, Ria’s face is just lovely! I like the way you were able to capture some different sorts of “ethnic” (or racial??) appearances in Ria and Bethany’s faces. The different shading technique shows nicely. It’s a softer, warmer feel.
This is perhaps a silly thing to mention, but I adore the details and feel of the backgrounds you do in pictures like this.

Thanks! Drake gave me great descriptions of the characters, including distinctive features, so that made them a lot more interesting to draw.
Heh, not silly at all. I gave a lot of attention to the background, so it’s great to hear that it turned out well.

Pretty! All of it! I love Bethany’s cloak especially. And such pretty hair! I also wonder what Ria’s bodysuit is made out of… it’s pretty shiny.

Drake said that it’s made of leather, with an enchantment that makes it perfectly form-fitting. Sounds handy!
…I am slightly tempted to make that The Don’s official name. (But I think I’ll settle for having one of the other characters use it on him instead.) XD
